sundown

Its rays seem friendly

They remind me of an old friend

waving good bye to me

I know they are leaving

but I am confident

that I will see them again

comforting warmth

a sweet embrace

stilling my heart

it fills me up with awe

hopes and dreams

The warmth fills my heart

It makes me feel free

the sun's rays

like a bouquet of flowers

A day gone past

prepared for night to come

A soothing sense of joy
