Sundrops

Peeking through my windowsill,

glimmering rays. the earth awkens

the warmth fills

Me. its welcoming embrace

shimmering hues

upon my face

a grin unfolds,

lingering, against the horizon

the most delicate of golds

Beautiful. sight

kindling the sky

ablaze of light

hiding at nigh

dwindling. . . dawn.

once again. rising high
