Sunflower

I always face what would make most men go blind

The summer allows me to show my color

In the cold my one friend will leave me behind

So in the winter I will get much duller

My seed and my stalk are but one of a kind

Some would even will that my stalk be smaller

Because I stand so tall and so very bright

But the one time I hate the most is the night
