Sunken Heart

He made her feel so alive
She yearned for that feeling of joy
Only he gave that to her
Her eyes lit up like the night sky at the very sight of him
Her heart came out of her chest with every word he spoke and lyric he sang
She felt so alive with him
Before him, she felt the emptiness
But he filled it with his love
She made it so easy for him to take it away and he did
He left her with a void and now the feeling of death crept back in
Her soul had been blown away
Her mind sunk like a ship in the sea as
his waves crashed over her sails and brought them down to the bottom of the ocean
And now she'll never feel that liveliness again
Now she's lying in the pit of the oceans heart with hers lost at sea.
