sunlight

such love for pen & paper, such beauty in words scribbled across a page. like a doves' first taste of freedom, my voice has finally abandoned the dark, silencing cage. lost in a harmony of words that rhyme & feel right, i feel bursts of poetry, & a creativity that never fails to shine bright like sunlight
poetry that's effortless & natural..., resisting every form of fight. hypnotizing rhymes that are never out of sight, so vivid & so bright, burning wounds to my eyes - i can see the light. my hands & the ink at a never-ending race with my mind, so many pieces of yourself, you will soon find.
some don't understand the beauty of it all, how the words spiral as they're thrown when they fall
poems are the visible form of an artistic soul, is your spirit a fire? or a lump of burnt coal? trace each word with the tip of your fragile finger, feeling the color & emotion inhabiting each & every letter. lifting up troubled spirits, until the pain begins to better
