Sunlight

A day,

The winds of time

Rushing forth ever faster,

Chips away at the world I knew,

Creating harsh sounds of demolition

As an unyielding chisel cracks soft stone.

My heart suppresses its silent scream

As so many tears of pain and sorrow

Renew themselves in the darkness

Of mankind's home on earth,

In the circadian rythm

Of calamity.

But in the midst of confused despair

A bright becon bursts through

The despairing gloom of life,

And my soul remembers

How it feels

To hope.
