Sunny Raindrops

What happens when the sun and rain crosses paths? I'll tell you..Rainbows are suppose to happen. A glorious sight of colors formed across the sky. A sight that's worth admiring its true beauty from afar.

Happiness, love and peace thats how rainbows are suppose to be. I wish my life could have been made of rainbows, instead I got the thunderstorms and tornados.. thats what you call the ugliness before the rainbows.

I couldn't tell you how many days I've been rained on. Do you know what that feels like? I'll tell you..cold, alone, hurt and empty. No umbrella, no rain jacket and no shelter. Just hope, hope that the rain clears and the sun comes comes out to warm me, to give me a jacket and a place to call home.

There were some days where the sun would peak from behind the clouds but only enough to stop the rain temporarily. I yearned for those days. I just knew the clouds would clear completely and the sun would come out and there would be no more rain. I always smiled at the thought of what that felt like.

The sun brimming down on my skin, while I'm twirling through a field of flowers with my eyes closed harmonizing the words to my favorite song but.. there it was reality.. The sky would turn dark, the clouds would rumble and lightning would strike. There I was again cold, alone, hurt and empty..this time with no hope.
