Sunrise

From the darkness the sky unfolds

welcoming the new light of day.

Mellow colors flood the sky

and drag sleepy fingers across the earth.

The sun rises from the deep abyss of the night

and blushes in front of the still mirror,

where life below hardly stirs.

The weeping moon left teardrops

to tickle blades of grass,

that giggle with the trees

when the wind whispers its secrets.

The Earth is awaking
