Sunrise

When we all wake up

Some see a sunrise

Some see clouded skies

But we all drink from the bottomless cup

Some drink from it before others

And they never see the sunset

Instead, they fall through the earth to pay their debt

And are forgotten by their brothers

There is no avoiding this destined threat

My sense of urgency is born

There are so many colors I haven't seen yet

But I can only see them after the storm

For the night doesn’t hear our cries

And it doesn’t apologize
