Sunset of the Pure

Chilling air, goose-bumps.

Pumping chest and tired legs,

Who have decided to take a rest.

Gloom of an ending day,

Shattered by the eventide.

Crepuscular rays breaking through

The boring blue,

Creating an ethereal atmosphere

Of titian and blush hues.

Iridescence I’ve not seen before or since.

I experienced this with you.

This ephemeral moment.

But it is not you.

You were the first

But not the stone.

My limerence is for another.
