Sunset Shadows

As the shades of evening descend,

Darkness begins to sketch.

With his pencil, he outlines

Every oak leaf, weed, and picket fence.

He thickens his lines with alacrity,

But the change is not one the eye can see.

In fact,

If you blink,

You may miss it entirely.
