For Sunshine or Rain

There will come a day

when all their laughs deteriorate

Hear them stop inside your head

Then Maybe you will get a little rest

For Sunshine or for rain

Honey you'll get better days

Nights will not always be so bleak

So just don't give up on me

I know you feel like your alone

When they preach those scriptures that don't hit home

You have freedom to believe

Two more years, you'll be 18

For Sunshine or rain

Your religion is not your race

Your family is not you

Baby, you can bloom

They may all say that being straight

makes you supererior to any gay

but darling you are just as strong

Please understand your life goes on

For Sunshine or rain
