Supergirl

Dear you,

Remember when I moved away?

Remember when we said we'd never forget each other?

Remember when you said you'd always be my best friend?

I remember you

I remember your laugh and your smile

I remember your favorite ice cream

I remember how you looked away when someone said your real name

I remember when we were superheroes on the playground

Supergirl and Supergirl

We were unstoppable

And then I left

Not by choice

I had to

You were my best and oldest friend

My strongest ally

You were going to be my maid of honor

We planned each others weddings

I guess 1,348 miles was just too much

I still see you now

I tell my new friends about you

You are still the biggest part of my life

I remember our matching PJs

I've tried to get back in contact with you

I've tried to connect

No response

But I know youre happy now

And that makes me happy

After all we were best friends one time

I still have our oldest picture

From the day we met

I look back at it every once in a while to remember the days of Supergirl
