The superheroes with no capes

As I’m still asleep in bed

They’re up helping others

As I wake up, ready to start my day

They’re up already saving lives

As we sit and watch the number grow

They’re standing up combatting this monster

They don’t come into work to get paid

They don’t come into work to receive a medal

They don’t come into work to joke around

They come into work to save other lives

They aren’t robots

They don’t have super powers

They are human beings

Human beings who are mothers

Who are fathers

Who are sons and even daughters

Human beings who are love ones

Instead of being with their love ones they choose to save other love one’s life

We need to protected these human beings

We need to support these human beings

And most importantly we need to thanks these human beings

The world may be facing this pandemic

And it may be getting worse

But it will get better because of these people

These people are our superheroes

The superheroes with no capes

Thank you, we are here with you
