In a family of heroes, my power is force fields. Building up walls around myself like a shield. My sister can fly, she saves the whole city. My mother is stone, just solid and prickly. My father can shapeshift, too many people And my power’s disconnection, isolating what’s real. They say that i’m broken, I can’t let people in But they never expect my feelings to reign. My power saves myself, can’t help animals or babies But because i can save myself, then why should they save me? They say I’m fine, that i don’t need a say Yet shouldn’t compromise go more than one way? I can turn invisible at the drop of a hat Supergirl, the daughter of steal, the one who can do anything real- I wish I could fly too. Oh, the things I could do. I wish I could too, I could leave and reappear. I wish I could fly. I’d fly far away from here. Supergirl saves the world, she deserves it too The invisible girl builds up her walls, she’s no help to you. Supergirl is powerful, she can yell and command Anything she’d like, I really understand That she is perfect, the best of the best And Miss Force Field is left to clean up her mess.
