Supposed to Be
Go ahead and throw away your hate,
Try to take my burden and I bet you'll break,
So stop using your words to kill me.
It takes a lot of will to take what I take,
Go ahead and stop controlling my fate,
This is who I'm supposed to be.
Stop acting like I have no respect,
As a teenager you weren't perfect,
So stop using words to kill me.
I'm trying to hold my dreams but I'm not there yet,
You're standing in my way and I won't forget,
This is who I'm supposed to be.
Go ahead and stand in my way,
Try to lock me up in your chains,
So stop using your words to kill me.
It takes a lot of hate to overcome this pain,
Go ahead and try to ruin my day,
This is who I'm supposed to be.
