Surely,there's a way
Surely,
there's a way to say exactly what you mean
without ending up an empty house of abandoned thoughts,
where the only inhabitants you once supplied
were vicious, barking commands and false assumptions,
beacause surely,
you thought past the past and beyonf what your mind could fathom.
thats what you wanted,
isn't it?
Surely,
there's a way to go about getting exactly what you want
without breakig the grasp that fascination had on your attention.
where the air of aspiration and accomplishment
is just within your reach,
dancing on frostbitten fingertips desperate to bleed.
But instead, you're left only with the stale taste of "not enough"
staining your tongue, and the word
SURELY
singed in your brain.
