A Surgeon’s Cut

I cry but who care

I’m invisible and in pain

But who cares to see

You don’t have scars

That you can see

That doesn’t mean there not there

The cuts you see weren’t made by me

But that doesn’t mean I didn’t deserve them

I let the surgeon do the cutting for me

But that doesn’t mean I caused the injury

The pain seems deserved

So I’m not surprised when it happened

But the cause wasn’t me and you can see

But that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t have happened
