Surreptitious

Sleep is a lullaby,

Constant as the tide

Upon reaching the end,

A bit of a surprise

She lures you in with a saccharine smile

And puts you to bed with a comforting hand

But no more than two or three minutes from which

You succumb to her song...

You'll be pushed off her cliff.

I love your choice of words and the plot twist at the end
