b: process of sewing with sutures

The bones of the skull are joined by jigsaw sutures.

where the shadows flicker,

and the mouth opens wide to wail

and delight in sound.

The same shadows are cast on

the walls of our cathedral

living-room theaters,

enclosed by four walls

where this visual text

resurrects what our voices proclaim.

Our eyes open wide to

delight in sight.

The pupil, the lens

captures, translates,

metamorphoses linguistic habituation

from our failed collective consciousness

of the apparatus.

In these four walls,

Omnipotent silent coercion,

received through

visual symbolic stimulus

We are the spectators,

the eye, the lense,

The camera itself.

We are the ones who scream in the shower,

feel up our tv sets,

don’t give a damn,

who stole the typewriter, the milk, and storm the seashore.

Why suture what was never wounded? Why suture a closed wound?

It was. It is open.
