swallow hard

if happiness is a state of mind

then fantasy is it’s drug

                you’re my pill

slowly going down

drink it up with water

to ease the pain

it will only last a while

my dreams begin to fade

reality sets in

and you’re no longer by my side

giving up hope

as everything is lost

if you only exist in my dreams

then where are you now

thinking we had it all

just a made up lie

if happiness is a state of mind

then fantasy is its drug

you’re my pill
