Sweet Child

Dazzling blue, so innocent and true A child’s eyes open to a world anew Smiling and laughing, life’s just begun There’s a whole run ahead for this little one Sweet child, resting your head Close those eyes and dream sweetly, Time for bed Tomorrow, a new day waits To remorse for all of yesterday’s mistakes Planning for your future, So you may grow big and strong But alas, spending all day planning Leaves today gone Sometime we must just ride the waves Solely flowing, not try to stand up in a hurricane Sweet darling, rest your head Don’t mind me, go to bed Flutter your eyelids as you head for the land of Dreams Remember child, tomorrow will redeem.
