Sweet Honey
Sweet Honey Poem by D’Vante Jerrell Chapman a.k.a.The Black Love Poet
My sweet Honey
My, my, my, my, my, my, my
You sholl taste good tonight
Your beauty is way more than skin deep
I know I hit the lotto
Because you are my most prized possession
I won’t leave you stressin
I’ll just be pressin
My eggplant in a circular motion up inside your sweet potato pie
You get me high as the sky
With your midnight love
Up in Heaven above
Is where you fell
But you didn’t fall to the ground and get hurt because you have angel wings and a halo
With a pure heart and angelic voice like yours ain’t no way I’m flying solo
I just want to satisfy ya
I’ll love you always won’t make you crazy
But I’m crazy about you
If I could pick butterflies and stars in the day and night
I’ll pick you a billion and one and create for you the perfect garden
My sweet Honey I’ll fight for you
Hold you in my arms and on a hot sunny day I’ll keep you cool
A good woman is hard to find
That’s why I had to where my binoculars and go on a journey to seek your spirit
And when I felt it
I knew your spirit linked to mine
Baby you so fine
Your love is as rich as milk chocolate
Ain’t no debate
That we belong together
I harkened to the Holy Spirit
He told me you were my wife way before I met you
You are my hopes and dreams come true
If I had one wish, you would be my boo for eternity
Loving you is my destiny
It feels good
Being next to you
These are my confessions
Happy endings can come true
My sweet Honey
I’ll eat out of your honey pot
Then, fill you back up with deposits of my wood and affirmation
I thank the Lord for confirmation
Because without it, I wouldn’t have known that I can’t live without you
Our I do’s will last forever
Our vows are sacred, so I’ll honor them and I’ll honor and cherish you
I will love you to the moon
Past the stars
And back down to God’s green earth
We are good together and we are who each other deserves
My sweet Honey with that sweet vanilla perfume
Thank you for choosing me to be your groom
You’re my wife and I’m your husband in the spirit of the living God
It’s not about the surface but what’s on the inside
My sweet Honey
I’ll never let you go baby
