Sweet Love

Oh my love. Sweet love. How close we had come.

Our eyes met and hands touched as we drew near.

With your eyes blue as oceans, hairs like chrome,

My feelings for you were validly clear.

But you left me broken hearted and numb.

Could you not see my love for you, my dear?

My sweet, it is you I must refrain from.

With every passing glance, I shed a tear.

How could I ever forget what we shared?

The reasons you left were mysterious.

I searched the past to see where I erred

And decided you were delirious.

Who would have thought I would get over you

And one day would find a love that is true?
