Sweet Lullaby

She sang as we walked among the ashes,

caressed my skin as she hummed the tune of her ancestors.

"We are going home" she sang, tears falling from her cheeks.

We never looked back at that place we once knew.

We kept stiving forward to a new light.

Good- bye to our old life

Hello to the knew.

Her sweet lullaby, so sweet and gentle, is the song of my dreams,

the song of my past.

"We are going home" I sang as i held her in my arms.

I held my head up and continued our path.
