Sweet Posion
You poisoned our love
With sweet lies
Made it impossible
For our love to survive
Please keep your distance
From me.
Do not come to me
I do not see you,
Do not speak of me
I know you no longer
You who have scorned me
Laughed at my turned back
Have you forgotten
Darling,
Your mouth that spoke ill of me
Only yesterday?
I stood, waiting
For you to run in my arms
You ran away instead.
What of the many promises
We made, solemnly
Whispered in the dark?
What of our dreams of marriage
Our loving smiles
And gentle caresses?
Do not come to me
I do not see you,
Do not speak of me
I know you no longer
