Sweet Potato

A naked mole rat outer shell,

remains of earth on it dwell.

From surface view, no appeal;

If anything, some might squeal.

But had not one pushed looks behind,

then a phenomenon would be lost to mankind.

The Sweet Potato.

Vitamin A, Vitamin C,

naming a few on the nutrition key.

Raw, boiled, or baked;

one bite to a sweet escape.

A dash of cinnamon on the top;

vegetable desert that makes hearts stop.

The last element the sweet potato provides

Is a story of picking sides.

Before making a conclusion,

don’t let other’s opinions be confusion.

Try it for yourself

before dismissing it on a shelf.

Because what you perceive

may be far less than what you actually receive.

There are two sides to every story;

explore both to achieve true glory.
