A Sweet Relief

Flooded with emotions Flooded with thoughts The pressure's growing but who to turn to? Mother? Father? Sister? But will they even listen. So I turn to you, My Sweet Relief I found you at grade 7 And developed you at grade 12 The problems I feel that I can't express I tell to you instead. The mighty pen to the great canvas Flows like a never ending stream Stretching farther than the Nile Reaching deeper than the ocean Thoughts and Feeling spill forth And within the words I have written, I've unearth A new part of me I've never before seen And new wonders inspire new words And new words find even more wonders Yes, the human mind is a Wonderland And the magic of poetry is the Rabbit Hole.
