The Sweet Sound of Music

Music heals the heart and comforts the soul.

It brings joy to those who have lost their smile

And makes what is broken again feel whole

As sweet melodies numb pain for awhile.

Old turns young when tunes from memory play;

Ancient bones shake the dust to dance and sing,

Defying time as age is washed away

By hypnotic rhythms that sway and swing.

Music tells a story with every verse,

Pouring into empty hearts emotion.

Like a flowing river, it runs its course

To cleanse souls, as a storm does an ocean.

Though the grief of this world may never cease,

The sweet sound of music can bring some peace.
