Sweet Sweet Cinder
Stop the clock
Turn back the time
Let the mice return to men
And the story begins to grime
Let the cinders run wild
With the wind to gust them fro
Let the birds begin to cry
With no ends to their sorrow
As they stalk upon the house
Like vultures with their prey
Poor Cinderella will never
Get to see the day
The day she danced with her prince
Adored and beloved by all
But instead is at home
Covered-ashes to ashes
Face freckled with dust to dust
By her stepmother's cruel urge
To muster up hate and agony
Leaving Cinderella to self-destruct
Ear piercing screams
Pray to her fairy god mother
To let it be a dream
That the scene in front of her isn't so morbid
The taste of self-pity isn't so toxic
That the flower she desires isn't forgotten
That her father wasn't so wholeheartedly
Stupid to marry the evil witch
That wasn't meant for her fairy tale
To steal the glass slipper
And eviscerate the pain from within
Cinderella is now cursed again
Eyes left for her friends to fed upon
Not even Gus Gus left to dawn
What a gruesome wish it is
And a lovely way to go
To be the greatest beauty
No one got to know.
