Sweet Synedoche

Hate the tongue you talk with?
Or the blues with which you see?
Merely signs you're suffering
From Sweet Synecdoche

Does the buzzer wake you more
than the clock it used to be?
Symptoms problematic
Of that Sweet Synecdoche

No longer need your brain
As you use your head to think
Now your tap is not a faucet
Nor your basin more a sink

You're glad to have your threads
Since misplacing all your clothes
And now your TV's on the fritz
'Cause there's nothing on but shows

This is something to put up with
So no need that you agree
Take the terms of subjugation
Here in Sweet Synecdoche
