Sweet Warmth

Caring as a mother

deep loving eyes with a bright smile,

that smirk you would give.

Heart flutters

trying to get to you

time spent wondering about you,

about your day and your interests.

Sleeping with twice the pillows

because you're not there to hold me during the cold nights

eyes flutter open, as my hand glides up to where you would be sleeping

feeling, seeing nothing

inhaling deeply, a sweet aroma wakes my mind.

Rising up to the kitchen, I see my happiness

humming while creating love with his own hands,

bouncing up and down everywhere to the beat

seizing him from behind, embracing him in my arms

he turns to place a kiss against my feverish forehead.

I forget how to breath at that moment, remembering that he came home late last night

my breath starts to shiver as I ask about his day yesterday and his where abouts.

His smile widens as he sits to open up,

easing down to listen to the music, I inhale biting down on my tongue

to hear the first tune.
