The Sweetest Words Unspoken

The sweetest words scribbled by an anonymous author On unredeemable tender Blind lovers look across soul-filled windows One softly lit by silent flame One sheathed in selfish darkness Words unspoken, words unheard, words lost to hurting hearts, Beating in pace… apart Soldiered walls of will Meet scores of absent enemies Apprehension battles asynchronism Disappointment dances with inadequacy Time passes in utter apathy Passion begs Even as I am still caressed by hope’s bittersweet embrace Still possessed by memory’s unforgiving gaze
