Sweetie Pie

My dog Sweetie Pie is black and white,

She sleeps curled up all cozy and nice,

But wakes in a fright,

When something is not right,

It was just some falling dice.

She whines when she wants out,

If she’s not out she sighs,

She is hyper, there is no doubt,

She chases the fat squirrels about,

After running around she pants and crys.

She barks like crazy when hearing thunder,

To calm her we put her in a jacket,

Will she ever stop barking I wonder,

Maybe she’ll stop if she has something to hide under,

But she still makes a big racket.

She follows her nose when smelling something sweet,

What can it be she thinks,

It was just a package of raw meat,

Yummy a raw meat treat,

She leaves because of a loud clink.
