Sweetness

The air smells sweet, So laughingly sweet. He calls to me. I can barely hear over the noise. I run to him. My legs do not leave; my head is ugly. My glass heart clutches life. He sees me falling away from my angel. He holds a beautiful red rose in his hands. My mind haunts me as my life breaks. I reach for the naked void. Oh how I wanted that red, red rose.
