The Swift Reader I Should Have Been

The swift reader I should have been has a determined look about her. She brings corpulent hardbacks with her wherever she goes, and her fast-moving eyes stare at the tomes all the time.

The swift reader I should have been is able to finish a volume in one day.

She can complete her TAKS test in thirty minutes and still ace the test.

The swift reader I should have been says, "Reading can never be a tedious task; one just has to skim the book, and they will comprehend enough to write a summary. That's simple."

The swift reader I should have been finishes her work early, so she has time to relax.

She is able to watch television and spend time with friends.

The swift reader I should have been makes an eighty percent average in all her classes and has a standard school rank.

She does not understand and memorize the subjects that she has learned like I do.
