Swim

what is a swimmer really feeling

when they are at the white block kneeling

they anxiously wait for the buzzer

the referee meticulously hovers

their heart rapidly pounds with very sound

they see their teammates as they look around

they hit the water and never miss a beat

all that you can see is moving feet

they hear the crowd cheer as they come near

they they hit the wall and see their time they fear

looking at the board you see there face blank face

they look up and reluctantly see their place
