Switching Off

Sometimes it seems like
I am Death and you are Life
How I seek an end,
The last word,
And all you do
is rephrase and renew.

Or if I was Life
And you, Death
Trying to prove a logical point
While I argue that a person
can live for a hundred years
And you chuckle back
"But they can be dead for a hundred more."
