Sydnie

Dear Ex, Not my ex, but his You and I have never met But I feel connected to you Like I'm in competition with you. You and he haven't spoken in years He married me Yet I still feel like I'm losing to you. I saved myself for him, I saved everything for him. But he gave everything to you. They say When you lose your virginity You're rooted to that person. Why am I rooted to you? I should hate you The way he hates you. But I don't. I can't. I pray for you, Can you believe it? I pray that you'll find happiness And grow as a person And that you'll face conviction. I pray that you apologize to him And me, The girl you've never met. And I pray for me too. That I'll retire my obsession Of comparing myself to you. I hope you live a happy life, Full of regret of all the pain you've caused. Me
