Syllabic Verse- six syllables per line

prominence stands above

darkness surrounding now

starting in hushed whispers

praying no rocks on trail

upward upward we climb

legs aching, keep climbing

cool mountain air we gulp

eleven thousand feet

cold winds whipping around

finally reach the top

still surrounded in black

the waiting is over

light on the horizon

golden touching the peaks

pink lacing through the clouds

us basking in the warmth

snow crowning the ridges

see the majestic alpines

beholding the meadows

earth in all it's glory

feeling the peace at last
