Symphony of the Broken Hearts
Your soul will shrink from all the hearts you break;
your eyes will cry with tears from cheated mates.
Can anyone survive as this, your wake
of anguish, leaves the world that love creates
to rot in lakes of blood and tears of they
who fall for vicious fiends, ignoring life
as life presents a better choice, to say
that you, you horrid monster, break and strife
the hearts of us who loved a beast as you?
Can I, who've lived enough to know your way,
withstand the test of hearts that snap in two?
The gods of love are shamed by you, whose day
of birth meant death to us, the victims seen
by lustful eyes of callous, loving fiends.
