Your stories are written in the lies you tell

The ones that don't seem to have a consequence

The white lies to cover your tracks

The very truth altered and twisted

All to benefit your own satisfaction

The very falsification and fabrication

the very words that mean the same

Yet hide through pain

Excuses that dig us deeper into a pit

Deception of the human mind

Perjury exaggeration and deceit

On what seemed a sturdy foundation

But At full tilt, rotted and crumbled

At the moment your nerves kicked in

Taking over every emotion you once felt

Guilt eating at the core

Anxiety and panic of the brain

Words that don't seem to make sense

even after they were carefully planned out

A heart palpitation

And maybe even a shortness of breath

Loss of feeling

The distress of feeling hopeless

All for what you thought was enjoyable time

Gently faded away

All leaving you in cavity

Of no direction

Of no return

And of your own creation

A loss of innocence

With no return

No longer a child
