Symptoms of Adults

You realize you are an adult when you notice these symptoms

Be careful it is highly contagious

When you realize,

That sleeping on the couch does not mean you magically teleport into your room

When you realize,

That you have to make your own appointments and you can no longer rely on your parents

When you realize,

That going out becomes more of a hassle than actually staying in

When you realize,

That procrastination becomes your best friend

When you realize,

Who your true friends are which is when you invite them over to do nothing together

When you realize,

That you have to love horror movies in order to “fit in”

When you realize,

That you have to hold your tongue about Disney movies because that is not adult like

When you realize,

That children start to call you Mr. or Ms.

When you realize,

That money does not grow on trees

When you realize,

That all your bills eat all your money

When you realize,

That people put more trust in you because you have the word “adult” on your nametag

Growing up is never going to be easy

No one said it was going to be easy

But it will happen to everyone eventually

What really matters is the person

Because the person can change the experience of being an adult

The adult life can be the best years of one’s life or the most cruel

Make the best out of being an adult
