Synthesis

They say,
seek to live deliberately:
wander the world
master vicious waters
conquer the rocky colossals
plunge your sole into stardust
tame dreams to sit in frames and shelves
to escape hollow echoes of regret.

Dear Spartan,
must you slay life to live?
no living water flows from its wounds
no marrow from what is hollow.
Beware, gentle knight.
Cast off your soft slippers and sink into human clay.

Dive into tomes
drink of alchemy
and digest convalescence.
Craft life crisp and golden
and feed the tongues of flames
until Earth bursts into its own Sun.
Construct tangents of brilliance in endless torrents
measuring, bridging oceans of space

the rest is a symphony
