the system

I see a diffrent room, diffrent people

A lady looks down at me, smiles and says this is your new foster home

The lady takes my hand says come with me

I knew at that moment i was considered in the system

I decided then and there i would not become one of those kids that get lost in the sytem

I would not be ignored,i would not become another statistic.

The people were nice to me but evry child needs more than a roof over there head and food to eat

I was one of those people i needed love

The lady that brought me here came again

She smiles at me again, takes my hand and says in a cheery voice are you ready to go home

We pull up to a familiar place i look out of the car window and see my grandparents house

I knew at that moment i would find love i was finaly home

Against all odds that were stacked aainst me i did not become a statistic, i did not get lost in the system like so many others before me

I was determand to be better than the hand i was dealt.
