The Table Of Cupid's Measure

1,728 cupid inches equals 1 cupid foot,

27 of cupid feet equals one cupid yard,

128 cupid feet equals one cord of wood,

And 24 &3/4 cupid feet equals one perch of stone.

But how do I measure our love "Cupid"?

Is it equal to mine's as yours?

I've patiently sat upon the tables of your "measures"

And inch by inch we both were defined.

You knew that I loved you from the start

Because"I" told you.

You knew that my love was true

Because I consoled you.

We both walked the lonely road before

although in different directions,

We both stood open for opinions

But opinions aren't affections.

We both were anxious,

Anxious to find what our past left behind

for a heart that's true,

Anxious to share our boarders,

You loving me and me loving you.

But the tables of our measures

Were too heavy to weigh upon,

It's the treasure of our love,

We should choose to soar beyond;

As below so beneath...

As we enter our retreat,

Upon a table that doesn't measure wood,

But to understand, Is to be inderstood.

For true love will last forever

and can be perfect as lover's should,

Bringing our heart's into unity

As two feet become as one that equals...

Together.
