I take another step

Towards my future

I try to leave behind

All my failures

I try to get away

I try to get by

But wherever opinion sways

I will fight

I will survive

Though things may not go my way

I will not be fazed

I will continue on

Even if I am just another pawn

To be honest

This isn't how I want it

But all in all

It's a different route to college.
