Take Back the Light

Bullies

Parents

Teachers

Friends

They flip the switch on happiness

Sometimes it's an accident

Sometimes it's not

But it doesn't matter,

You can't do anything

Aside from watch it go out

Because you've heard it before

You're not good enough;

You'll never be good enough

Are they wrong?

Are they right?

Do I run?

Do I fight?

Here's your answer:

Flip that switch again

Don't let them shove you into darkness

Be you

Be strong

Be unique

Be bright

And always take back your light.
