Take Each Day

Take each day as it comes

My mother oft has said to me

Through trying times

Where murky mists rise

To a trembling testing!

Until like a veil, a bank of fog fools

The wary wayfarer into a blindspot

Known not long ago, as crystal clear

Take each day as it comes

My mother oft has said to me

In trying times

Through thick and thin

Where murky mists now rise and roam

To sieze the throne, not long ago

Bestowed by bell and beacon

Both bearers and shrewdy sharers

Of seasosn so sweetly sequestered!

(unfinished)
