Take Flight

Regret, loneliness, anger, sadness and fear;

These are the emotions that consume me.

My high hope is what gets me through the year,

Hoping to one day wade in the calm sea.

Staying positive is my greatest plight;

How do I know my dreams will transpire?

My will is my power; I will take flight

I will succeed, transcend and aspire

I am the pilot of my hereafter,

My dreams are immense, so is my desire

I live to feel alive, joy, and laughter,

And conquer the obstacles I acquire.

Tomorrow is a new day, a new me

I'm ready to take flight, to be free.
